I believe it is absolutely imparative that people vote for the next President of the United States. It is our responsibillity as American citizens to voice your opinion. I feel that young people especially should vote because the older generations think of us as passive and not really caring who gets elected president. Many people have given there life for us to have the right to vote, and that alone is a reason to vote. If all the wars we were in went the other way, we wouldn’t have the right now express our opinion and America wouldn’t be the greatest country in the World. It is not only our right to vote, it is our absolute responsibility as American citizens to vote. One thing that really grinds my gears is when people complain about how badly the President is doing, when they didn’t even vote. If you don’t vote I think you should just keep your mouth shut because you don’t have an opinion that counts in the election.

Voting is a very big responsibility as an American Citizen. I totally agree with you. I’m not sure if you were able to vote this election, but by your blog I can tell that you strongly encourage people to vote. I for one have not missed a vote sense I was able to vote in 2004 and will continue to cast my opinion loudly. This election I thought about not voting because I really didn’t want either candidate in office. But I was like you and said I can’t grip about what candidate gets in office if I didn’t vote. So I voted and voted proudly as an American citizen standing up for what I believe.
